This is my little crevice in the Garden Collective - it is not the only corner as there are lots of exciting writers blessing us with their stories and their wisdom.

Gardens and gardening have been my life for a terrifyingly long time: starting off as a London landscaper in the 1980s and ranging all over the world of horticulture since then.

Currently I am a designer, a writer, a teacher, an RHS Gardens Judge, a trustee and I talk quite a lot.

I am lucky enough to have been in at the birth of the Garden Collective and have found myself writing on a very liberating range of topics from String and Pineapples to Beavers and the great gardens of the Huntington Library in California.

Together we cover anything you ever wanted to know about horticulture: there is advice, design inspiration, detailed plant portraits and the experiences of some of the best known gardeners in the country.
